Razvan Pabat-Stroe graduated from University Politehnica of Bucharest with a degree in nuclear power stations operation and control. For the past twenty years he has held various operational and planning roles within Iberdrola, National Grid, Transelectrica and Enel.In previous roles with Iberdrola he has been involved in the delivery of the first trial to restore a transmission network from a windfarm (Dersalloch WF black-start testing) along with other innovative projects concerned with the future of the system restoration. During his time with National Grid, Razvan was a real-time power system operator at the Electricity National Control Centre.In the current role as Power Systems Studies and Grid Compliance Manager at ScottishPower Renewables (part of the Iberdrola Group), he is leading on the technical design and delivery aspects of large offshore windfarms. As part of this role, he’s currently looking to build on the successful outcome of Dersalloch WF trial and apply the operational experience gained in the Control Centre to implement the restoration capability on future large offshore windfarms.
